Unfinished offers flexibility of design, color & finish choice. Pre-finished offers speed of use.
2) I have several estimates. Why shouldn’t I go with the cheapest estimate?
As the old saying goes, “you get what you pay for”. We offer experience, professionalism and top notch service.
3) Will installing hardwood floors improve the value of my home?
Yes, many buyers prefer hardwood because it generally lasts the life of the home, looks beautiful and is relatively easy to care for.
4) Can you match my new floor with the existing floors in the rest of the house?
We can match species, grain and cut of new wood floors to blend with the existing floors.
5) I’m concerned about the mess. How much dust is involved if I have my floors refinished?
We seal off non-working areas with plastic and thoroughly clean before we leave.The only thing you’ll see is a beautiful new floor.
6) What are the differences between laminate and engineered wood floors?
Laminates simply a photo of wood grain place on composite or particle board. Engineered is a layer of wood flooring attached to three to five layers of plywood.
7) Can I put hardwood floors in my basement?
Yes. First we check for moisture and if there is moisture we lay moisture barriers and adhesives. We can then lay engineered of pre-finished flooring almost anywhere.
8) I’m concerned about the environment. Are hardwood floors ”Green”.
Yes, with today's conscientious forestry techniques for re-growth and the ability to use reclaimed lumber from old buildings set to be demolished or renovated today’s hardwood floors are very “green”.
9) How difficult is it to install an inlay or medallion?
Not difficult at all if you are professionally trained in the technique as we are.
10) How long do I have to wait to walk on my new hardwood floors?
Generally we advise 48 hours after final finish application.
